Fall Try-On Haul and Review: Loft, Nordstrom, and More!

Fall Outfit, Fall Style, Fall Inspiration, Fall OOTD

Welcome Back! All of my Labor Day weekend purchases arrived this weekend and I couldn’t wait to try it all on for you guys! For reference, I am 5’0 and 110 pounds (ish), and I’m usually at 25/0/XSP in pants and an XS or XSP in tops and dresses.

Let’s jump right into my Fall Haul!

Fall Fantasy Ann Taylor Loft Dress

One of my favorite pieces! I am obsessed with the pattern of this dress— it’s perfect for fall. I’m wearing an XS Petite here. It’s a little bit on the short side, I probably could have gone with an XS or XXS Regular. I plan on wearing this with OTK booties or my new Sam Edelman booties that I picked up during the Nordstrom Anniversary sale.

Verdict: Kept!

Ann Taylor Loft Clip Dot V-Neck Blouse
To give a background to all of my new readers, I work a corporate job Monday through Friday with a strict, formal dress code. I love Loft for work-wear and I was so excited for this top and for this skirt to come in! I ordered an XSP in the blouse and a 0P in the skirt. The blouse fits like a dream and I’ll definitely get a lot of use out of it. I love the ruffled sleeve detail and the cute buttons down the middle.
The skirt ran a little bit big on me (note to self: always order one size down in Loft bottoms!) and I don’t know if it’s necessarily my style, although I do love the color. I may try to swap out the gray belt it came with to a leopard print belt to see if it suits me more.
I topped off (bottomed off?) my outfit with these leopard print flats from J.Crew Factory. I wore them to work last week and while they weren’t the most comfortable flats I own, they weren’t the most uncomfortable. I prefer my Sam Edelman Felicia flats over these, but I grabbed these at such a good price I may just keep them.

Verdict: Kept the blouse, most likely returning the skirt.

Ann Taylor Loft Wrap Skirt Dress
Another Loft item that I was planning to wear for work. It’s kind of hard to tell in the picture, but this dress in 0P is–again–a tad bit too large on me. I think I’m going go ahead an exchange for a 00P as it’s super flattering. The material is on the heavier side and I will get a ton of use out of this.

Verdict: Exchanging for a smaller size

Body-Con Minidress Nordstrom
Now onto Nordstrom! I ordered most of these items during the Anniversary sale, but almost all of them are now on sale. This dress is under $50 and I love this olive green color for fall. It’s a dress I could probably get away with wearing to work with a long blazer due to it’s conservative neckline and length, but I most likely would rock it with booties as pictured.

Verdict: Kept!

1. STATE Sweater Nordstrom
This gorgeous sweater is now 40% off– making it only $53! The v-neck neckline is flattering on my larger chest without looking too racy. I plan on wearing this with jeans and leather leggings all fall in winter. Speaking of my jeans, they’re from Abercrombie but I purchased them last year. I linked a similar pair above!

Verdict: Kept!

Same outfit, but I through on this stunning (and affordable!) resin jacket from J.Crew Factory. I have been eyeing the Downtown jacket from J.Crew for years now, but I never wanted to take the plunge and pay $150. Needless to say I was thrilled when I saw the Factory came out with an almost identical version for $60 cheaper. In addition to the super affordable sale price, I got an additional 60% off making it less than $40. SUCH A STEAL! I will be wearing this all fall and spring!

Verdict: Kept!

Trouve Side Slit Sweater
Another Nordstrom Anniversary sale find! In case you didn’t notice, I am slightly addicted to wearing green this fall and this sweater is no exception. It’s the perfect weight sweater for fall and it will fit nicely under a light jacket. Again, the v-neck is very flattering and the slits on the side are very slimming. Unfortunaely this sweater isn’t included in their summer sale but it’s 100% worth $69.

Verdict: Kept!

ASOS Chesnut Flare Leggings
Last up are these pants from ASOS. If you are petite like myself, ASOS has an entire petite line and almost everything is under $70. I have been loving soft, flowy pants lately and these checked all of the boxes. The color screams fall and the fit is so flattering on the booty. I don’t think I would have paid more than $50 for me as they are literally thin sweatpants material, but they were priced right at $29. My shirt is by the brand 4SI3NNA at Nordstrom, but sadly it is no longer available. I linked similar on the Shop page of my blog!

Verdict: Kept
