When I moved in with my boyfriend in December, I was more than anxious to refresh our living room decor.
Now, I am by no means an interior designer, but I knew the blue love seat with the wooden arm rest and lime green futon weren’t functional or attractive.
Overall, I wanted a sectional couch where we could host our friends and family comfortably and a cohesive, neutral, boho theme that wasn’t too girly.
With our budget set at $1000, our biggest purchase was our gray sectional from Raymour & Flanigan for $600.
My next priority is to replace the coffee and side table, but unfortunately it isn’t in my budget right now. I’m looking for modern pieces that are a lot less bulky, but in the mean time, I may use some white chalk paint to brighten up the what we already have.
In my opinion, the accessories have really pulled together the living space. I love neutrals, but I know how boring they can be. I tried to spice the decor up with gold accents and different textures. I also replaced the opaque gold curtains with sheer linen drapes to bring some much needed natural light into the room.
I wanted to feature a close up of my rug, which is one of my favorite purchases. I decided to go with the nuLOOM Transitional Vintage Moroccan Trellis Area Rug because I loved the boho pattern, but the cream and grey were neutral enough to match everything.
If you would like to shop the pieces in my living room, I’ve linked everything below. If I couldn’t find an exact match, I linked similar options.
I plan on providing an update this summer with a new coffee and side table, an upgraded media stand, and hopefully better quality photos.
